France – Arrêté of Nov 30, 2020, Relating to Signs and Markings that May Lead to Confusion About the Rule for Sorting or Inputting Waste From the Product

​The Green Dot (Le Point Vert) symbol, which was not mandatory in France since January 2017, is not accepted anymore. This decision entered into force on December 24, 2020 was published in the Official Journal of the French Republic (Journal officiel de la République française). There are 2 exceptions: Products or packaging imported before April 1, 2021 can still be sold for 18 months after the date of importing. Products or packaging sold identically in other members states of the EU until January 1, 2022 can still be sold in France for 12 months after this date, if these member states have set a regulatory obligation to use this label.
